While certainly not as powerful or feature-laden as more costly models, this trimmer can handle much of the light-duty work many homeowners need. The trimmer weighs just 3.2 pounds and requires little assembly with just 2 steps. It operates off a reliable, 1.8-amp HP motor, which spins the line at 11,000 rpm. This grass trimmer features a basic bump feed line system, a generous nine-inch cutting path, and a secondary assist handle for added comfort and control. As someone who has accidentally unplugged a electric grass trimmer halfway through a job on more than one occasion, this indeed a handy feature to have.

I was a bit disappointed with the fact that because I was using such a large vessel (a bit wider than the unit itself) much of the escaping heat burned a lot of the black paint on the unit and emmited a not too pleasant smell for some time. I guess this is inevitable, and they probably just paint them for astetic reasons, but this is a hot flame! I also bought an extra burner (model BG10) for about $10 and a 20psi regulator kit, so if you had an extra stand or could improvise, that would be another way to go to get the same quality heat.

Hickory Wood Chips: Grilling Flavor

My Dad doesn’t have an official smoker – he has a hellified gas grill with every attachment and option known to man. And he’s good on a grill. What he didn’t have was any way to smoke anything. So for fathers day we bought him some little box with a handle called a "smoker box," various bags of flavored wood chips, and a rib rack. Maybe it was due to the chips, maybe the rib rack or maybe it was my Dad’s skill on the grill – but he DID create the best ribs he’s ever made after we gave him his gifts. I know very little about smoking – but I do know that as we were all sitting outside chatting, I could smell the hickory wood chips in the smoker box… and I’d consider buying some just to chuck in the fireplace to get that fantastic smell. My sister and I DID shop around a bit, and we discovered that Amazon actually did have better prices (as of Fathers Day of 2009) on the hickory wood chips then any of our local retailers.

Playskool Step Start Walk N Ride: Learning To Walk

Our daughter received this Playskool Step Start Walk N Ride as a gift for Christmas when she was 8 months old. It is still her favorite 2 months later! She is starting to walk on her own and this toy has been a great help to her. She doesn’t care for the car part of the toy, but the walker has been great. In reading the other reviews, I see that there have been some complaints about the attachments or design. So far, our child has not been injured or pulled anything off of this toy. It has been pretty durable. She does tip the Playskool Step Start Walk N Rideover on occasion, though. An unbalanced child can easily tip this, but it does not seem heavy enough to cause an injury and Veronica has always just gotten up and kept right on going. It is small enough to take along in our trunk and we take it with us when visiting. I think this is a great learning-to-walk toy.

Hot Wheels Race Track: Fun Race Track

This Hot Wheels Race Track has been played with ALOT since getting it. Both my three year old and 5 year old (and 40 year old) love it. They need help when the ramp comes apart if stepped on or played with roughly, but eventually they will be able to do it themselves. Unlike a million other car tracks on the market this one does not involve time for assembly nor time for looking for all the parts. In that sense it makes life so much easier for the parents! There are only 4 pieces. They click together easily. And they store neatly as one piece. I bought it for our 2 year old and he loves it. He loves to guess which car will win and understands the lanes and the numbers. His older cousins have as much fun with it as he does. The one drawback of the Hot Wheels Race Track is the stability of the support for the higher car track. It should be a little stronger. Overall, great fun, great value for money, and a great gift idea for any kid.

I purchased the Radio Flyer ‘My First Wagon’ (Model #7) which measures 20.5" long x 10.5" wide which is larger than this Radio Flyer Little Red Wagon and smaller than the Radio Flyer Ultimate Family Wagon that we have – each has a purpose. If you only want to purchase one wagon and are looking for a ride-on wagon then Radio Flyer has many options for wagons at various price points, sizes, and options to meet your needs.

I’m very impressed with the Bilibo construction, which is of a thick plastic, I can flip it over and stand on top myself and it only flexes slightly on our slippery kitchen floor. They are a good size – an adult of medium build could sit in one. My kids can get in and cross their legs inside too. The shape is great – two of them fit together to form a kind of spherical shape. The two holes are inspired as they love putting them on their heads and looking through the holes. They have found a ton of uses so far! They spin the bilibo and put a marble in and watch it go around. They spin around in them themselves. They have used it as the center in their block building expeditions, as a seat and to port toys around the house.

Braun Clean And Renew:

You don’t HAVE to use the cleaning function of the Braun Clean And Renew. You can use it like any other shaver and clean it with a brush. But if you don’t mind paying ~$60/year on these Braun Clean And Renew, then the cleaning system works great. I hope eventually someone decides to make generic versions of the refills or sells the fluid only so we can refill them (like they do with inkjet printer cartridges). I would NOT take the advice of the guy who recommended using alcohol and lemon juice as a refilling liquid. Lemon has sugar (and other impurities) in it, and alcohol doesn’t have lubricating agents and may strip the lubricating that the blades need. Cleaning every other day may seem like a money-saving idea, but I have found that even if you don’t use it for weeks, the cleaning fluid still evaporates and you have to replace it almost as frequently, so I figure I might as well get the benefit of cleaning rather than let the stuff just evaporate away. I hope Amazon starts selling these things directly since buying it from J&R is not a good deal because of the shipping charges.

Little Tikes T Ball: Baseball Fun

The Little Tikes T Ball set is always a great investment. However, if your child aspires to become the next Alex Rodriguez or Ryan Howard, then the T Ball Set is the perfect choice. The T Ball Set from Little Tikes is a great introduction to America’s Pastime and will also help improve basic batting skills along with motor skills and coordination. The Little Tikes toy is kid friendly with plastic balls and bats. T Ball is a fun intro to baseball, so provide him with his own tee and ball. The balls are also a bit heavier than the cheaper solid balls, which also lends to its durability. The down sides are that the base isn’t all that heavy, and therefore, in grass, it’s a bit hard to get it to sit securely. Also, as mentioned, I think it’s a bit too tall for littler kids and there’s not a whole lot of adjustment for it. The height adjustment is only about 1", so I think he will outgrow it soon, but overall a very nice product.

Apples to Apples is an award-winning party game that will have everyone laughing. We had a blast playing this game and think it is a perfect game for a "board game night" with friends and family. It is quick to set up, easy to learn, challenging, and a whole lot of fun. Apples To Apples Party Box has won numerous awards including "Party Game of the Year" by Games magazine and "Mensa Select" by Mensa International. And for good reason: it involves quick thinking, humor, and strategy. For teens, the game teaches them to think about how different things can be compared to one another and how analogies are formed. One of our criticisms is that although the game states that it is designed for ages 12 and older, many of the subjects are clearly for older teens. Part of the fun is in standing up for your choices. For instance, you might discuss why you think "Regis Philben" is painful, or segue into a discussion of the embarrassing situations you got into on your first day of school, or your first kiss. Apples to Apples excels as an ice breaker and promotes a good amount of social interaction, as many conversations will be kick started thanks to these little cards.

Oil Free Facial Moisturizer: No Breakouts

I’ve used this oil free facial moisturizer for about 10 years now, and couldn’t be happier with it. I have combination oily/dry skin, and I had problem skin through to my late 20s. After many trials, this was the best moisturizer I could find that properly moisturized my skin (protecting it against Canada’s cold) and didn’t cause more breakouts. In fact it kept my skin soft and supple enough for the blemishes to heal quickly. Now I’m in my 30s and living in the tropics, and I’m still happy with it; the SPF factor is essential for my daily routine, as I prefer to use the heavier sunblocks only when I’m out in the sun for prolonged periods as it really clogs my pores. After five years of living 10 degrees north of the equator, my skin has held up remarkably well, with few signs of aging. I also like the fragrance-free lotion, as I find today’s products are all too heavily scented, and I pay good money for actual perfume already. I’ve tried far more expensive moisturizers, and I still keep coming back to this one. Highly recommended.

Desert Essence Face Wash: Whas Your Face Daily

I’ve used Desert Essence Face Wash in the past with successful results, but for whatever reason, I often stray from its use to others (mostly out of a poorly placed sense of exploration). However, no other face wash has performed to the same degree that this product has. It does have a very pungent aroma, which thankfully doesn’t last beyond the washing stage (it doesn’t linger throughout the day like some fragrant soaps can). As a face wash, it has a very liquidy consistency but lathers up very nicely. This seems a prime candidate for those with oily complexions, as the lather could cause dry skin to even further dry out. Where other soaps and washes will leave me feeling greasy by end of day, this one does not. It doesn’t seem to strip my skin of moisture either, which makes the use of a moisturizer unnecessary (a bonus since they tend to cause me to break out).

Intex Filter Cartridge: Pool Cleaning

We love our intex pool and while they tell you its fine to rinse and reuse the filter for a time or two…I do not recommend that. They never really get clean and work like brand new. For the price on Amazon and the fast shipping buy enough and never have to worry for the summer. I change mine weekly to maintaina sparkly pool its easy, they came packaged great and If I knew this easy to put up pool (I did get the pool very cheap at walmart though… easy as a snap to do..you just need two people)I would have bought one years ago. Fits well, installs easily, etc… A great product. however, Intex Filter Cartridge do NOT need to be replaced every week!! A standard Intex Filter Cartridge can last for 6 months, or more if maintined properly. Usually, when servicing a filter, you can take a nozzle on your hose, and thoroughly hose off the filter pleats (all of them!), and reuse the cartridge. If it’s a little grody, use a bit of chlorine bleach to clean it up.

The Uncle Milton Moon In My Room is just set on a single phase of the moon. I have seen them go through both of the settings, there is a small remote control that the child can set themselves. The only problem with the remote is that because of its size it can get easily misplaced, especially if your kids are like mine and would lose just about anything.

The Melissa And Doug Dollhouse style has never been so affordable! No detail has been overlooked in the design of this easily assembled wooden dollhouse. Excellent quality and distinctive detailing throughout the interior and exterior of this house will make it an heirloom to be cherished for years to come! My kids play with this a good amount of time. And friends almost all the time play with this. I bought it for my 8 year old, but my 11 year old was the one who got really fascinated with it. I’d say a small child won’t appreciate the beauty of it, but that’s just my opinion. Furniture, as expensive as it is, is beautiful and sturdy, nothing broken yet. We had to glue up one windowsill before assembly that got unglued from the Melissa And Doug Dollhouse , but that was just one thing. They ship it in a sturdy box and there are boxes inside with separate parts wrapped in squishy poly wrap. All in all it’s good value for the money and will last the kids all through the teens. It’s a cool interior decor item later. You’ll need a coffee table for this thing to sit on.

Ultra Stomp Rocket: Kids Love It

Both the Ultra and the Junior Stomp Rocket kits come with a plastic rectangular "stomp pad" connected to a flexible tube. Syma Helicopter: Indoor Flying

Really fantastic toy for the price. I have had some of those mini RC helicopters before, and honestly for twice the price of one of those this heli is well worth the price. The Syma Helicopter steering takes a little getting used to, think of it as a hover craft rather than a car on wheels. You get the hang of it in no time, and a charge seems to last a good 10-15 minutes. Plus, and this is a huge plus, there are no batteries to replace accept in the controller. he helicopter itself charges from a wall outlet. The craft is a pretty good size, around 16" long I would guess. The lights on the craft are awesome, it has 2 on either engine in the back, and a red and green one underneath it. I have been buzzing this thing around my house ever since Christmas, it is to much fun. The only thing I would say to perspective buyers is the steering is not dead on precise but it is tons better than the cheap RC copters out there, and is very easy to use.
